PROJECT
WEC Green Bay Training Center
In partnership with WEC Energy Group, Newman Architecture designed a new Training Center located in the Green Bay area. This facility, which is the first of its kind in northern Wisconsin, is approximately 32,000 square feet in size and includes specialized spaces for gas and electric training.
Along with customized classroom spaces, there are three large “practical” labs for gas training and one large “practical” lab for overhead electrical training. The gas labs are designed to provide training with appliances, meters & regulators, and piping. The overhead electric lab is a high volume space, equipped with a variety of power poles inside, which will allow for power pole training year round. A mock “Gas City” includes multiple residential-looking training modules for gas leak discovery and repair.
